Watervliet and Coloma Townships will split the cost of a $46,600 study on Paw Paw Lake. The Watervliet Township Board agreed to pay half the costs last week. The Herald Palladium reports the study will be done by JF New and the Spicer Group to find out how to improve the lake's water quality. The townships need the study before putting a special assessment on Paw Paw Lake property owners to fund a lake improvement program. The program could include spot dredging, weed control and harvesting.
