Police in Berrien County arrested an Illinois man on Wednesday after they say they found about twelve-thousand dollars worth of suspected ecstasy in his car. According to Baroda-Lake Township Police Chief Gary Ruhl, 25 year-old Brandon Lawton, of Country Club Hills Illinois, was pulled over on I-94 near Browntown Road in Lake Township around nine-30 AM when an officer saw him make an improper lane change. Lawton had no proof of insurance or registration, and a subsequent search by the officer turned up about 600 pills of alleged ecstasy in six baggies hidden behind the dashboard. Lawton was arrested on possession and trafficking charges, and taken to the Berrien County Jail. His Oldsmobile, some cash, and a cell phone were also seized by police.
