The Michigan Department of Transportation has some highway closures planned for the next week. MDOT's Nick Schirripa tells us that starting Friday, there will be single lane closures on US-12 from the Indiana state line to New Buffalo, with one lane open in each direction, while crews do pavement marking and rumble strip work as part of a broader project. There will also be single-lane closures for bridge work on I-196 at Phoenix Road in Van Buren County starting on Monday, and running through next Friday.
