Another event planned for this weekend is the fourth annual Firecracker Triathlon at Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor. Organizers tell the Herald Palladium that, among other things, recent work to the park could make the race more interesting this year, as beach accommodations will make it easier for spectators to see the action. It's on Sunday, starting at eight AM. The course includes a quarter mile swim in Lake Michigan, an eleven-mile bike ride, and a three-mile run. It's not too late to register, and organizers are expecting over 300 people to enter, along with over 50 entries for the kids triathlon, which happens on Saturday.
