A man arrested for robbing the Horizon Bank in Saint Joseph on Thursday was arraigned in Berrien County court on Friday afternoon. Assistant Prosecutor Michael Sepic says that 39 year-old Michael Socorro, of Grand Junction, faces up to life in prison if convicted on a count of bank robbery. He's also charged with armed robbery. Police say that Socorro walked into the Horizon Bank on Thursday afternoon and told the teller he had a weapon. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was picked up later by Saint Joseph Township Police. Sepic says that Socorro's bond was set at one million dollars, and he's scheduled for another hearing on July sixth.
