A state house Republican task force on job creation will be meeting in Southwest Michigan next month. State Representative John Proos, who chairs the task force, says that on Thursday, July second, the group will hear testimony from Agriculture and Tourism Experts at the MSU Extension office in Benton Harbor. He says that in this bad economy, the panel's members could learn something positive from Southwest Michigan:
The task force will meet in Kalamazoo earlier in the day, and the begin hearings in Berrien County around two-45 in the afternoon. It will hold several meetings around Michigan over the summer to gather information on what business leaders and others think the state can do to improve the jobs situation.
