Motorists can drive on I-94 Eastbound between I-196 and the Coloma exit again. The section of I-94 closed this morning after a van rolled over in Bainbrigde Township sending 10 people to the hospital. Berrien County Sheriff's Department 911 Service Specialist Dennis Sexton says the crashes victims include children as young as 9. Sexton says first responders had to use the jaws of life to pull two victims from the vehicle.
Sexton says 6 of the victims are being treated at Lakeland HealthCare in Saint Joseph and the 4 others are being treated at Watervliet Community Hospital. Watervliet's Chief Nursing Officer Bob Kruggel says all four of its victims, two adults and two children, are stable. He says the children, ages 9 and 12, are being transported to Bronson Hospital. Lakeland Healthcare's Erin Gerard says it treated and released three minors. She says one adult victim will be released this afternoon, and two others are in fair condition.
