Two men were arrested Thursday after they led police on a high speed chase through three counties in Southwest Michigan. State police troopers from the Bridgman post tried to stop a vehicle for careless driving on I-94 in Lake Township around three in the afternoon. However, the driver wouldn't pull over, and a high speed chase ensued that took them east on I-94, and then north on I-196 through Van Buren and all the way to Allegan County. Several attempts were made by poilice to use "stop sticks" on the vehicle, but it wasn't until they reached Allegan County's Saugatuck Township that the sticks worked, and the suspects' tires were deflated. The driver -- a 23 year-old man -- and his 53 year-old male passenger were then arrested without further incident. Both men are from Chicago, and now face several charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and fleeing and eluding. They're now in the Berrien County Jail.
