Despite the grim outlook State Auditor Derek Hall gave the village of Three Oaks last week, Village President Dave Grosse says the administration is optimistic about moving forward. Hall presented a detailed audit report last week citing many standard accounting shortfalls. But Grosse says failing to balance check books or properly record special assessment revenues are things of the past.

Grosse says the village is doing several things to get out of it�s roughly $250,000 hole. He says it is asking for a loan from Berrien County, cutting back on overtime hours and tightening up other expenses.
