The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians was to break ground Monday on a new 19-thousand square foot Tribal Administration Building near Dowagiac. Spokesperson Tom Shields says that the building will house the tribe's administration and member services departments:
After four years of planning and applying for funding, construction began Monday on the headquarters, with completion expected by the end of the year. The cost is just over five-million dollars.
