Tuesday won't be an average day for State Representative John Proos. Instead of working on the house floor, he'll learn how to be a firefighter. Proos says he'll spend a day going through firefighter training and even done fire gear in Lansing.
Proos is chairman of the House Fire Caucus and he says the experience will help him learn how to best use tax dollars for firefighters. Michigan Professional Firefighters and Lansing Firefighters IAFF Local 421 are the hosting training and information session for both house republicans and democrats.
