A new committee will look at ways of restoring Paw Paw Lake. The joint committee between Watervliet Charter Township and Coloma Township will include two members from each government's boards and two supporters of the lake restoration initiative. Coloma Township Supervisor Ken Parrigin says it's important for the two communities to work together.
Parrigin says Drain Commissioner Roger Zilke will play a major role in the committee. He says he wants Zilke to speak to the group about what it can do about the Lake's Branch-Derby Drain. Parrigin says he thinks the drain is behind many of the Lake's problems.
