NextGen Energy has until March 30th to get its act together. The company behind an ethanol plant proposal in the Red Arrow Industrial Park says it can't get funding. NextGen Energy Representative Rick Johnson says it can't find a bank to finance the project. He says many financial institutions aren withholding funding from Michigan business ventures. Unless the transference of money and final paper work is completed, NextGen's purchase agreement with the township and the Brownfield Authority will expire at the end of the month, . Johnson says the company wants to go forward with the project if it gets funding. The plant would create 55 permanent employees and require up to 300 other agriculture and trucking workers.
