The Local Revenue Sharing Board for the Four Winds Casino is getting close to picking its fifth and final member...and that means money held in escrow from the New Buffalo Township resort could start flowing to area communities fairly soon. LRSB Chairman Pete Rahm says the board will pick the fifth member next month:
In the running are Lake Michigan College, New Buffalo Schools, Michiana, Three Oaks Village and Township, Grand Beach, and Chikaming Township. Rahm says that the fifth seat could be rotating. Once a member is picked, the board will amend its bylaws -- as per state requirements -- opening the door to getting some casino money.
