A woman died and five others were injured in a house fire in Van Buren County. The fire started at 9:42 a.m. Thursday in the 40000 block of 78th Street in Covert Township. Seven people - two adults and five kids - were in the home at the time. 45 year old Patricia Bryant Young died in the fire. The other adult and four of the kids were hospitalized. They all suffered smoke inhalation, and some of the kids suffered severe burns - one on 75 percent of the body. The house was totally destroyed by the fire, which is still under investigation. Preliminary reports show an electrical problem may have started the fire in the living room area.
