In a two towns, Black Friday turned deadly. On Long Island New York, Police Officer Michael Aronson says a crowd of shoppers trampled a temporary Walmart employee to death. He was trying to unlock the doors when the surge came in.
Four others were injured, including a pregnant woman. Witnesses say the shoppers acted like savages. In Palm Desert California, two men shot each other to death at a crowded Toys R Us, in what police are calling gang violence. At upscale stores in Historic Charleston South Carolina, pranksters glued the locks on store doors, delaying the start of black Friday for hours.
