The National Association of Insurance Commissioners released a study last week that shows a 6% decrease in car insurance premiums in Michigan. But Insurance Institute in Michigan Executive Director Pete Kuhnmuench says from here we can actually expect premiums to go up.
Kuhnmuench says safer cars, increased competition between insurance companies and an aggressive fraud fighting force are behind the decrease from 2004 to 2006.
