Benton Harbor wants to remind its residents about how to throw out household and yard waste. Department of Public Works Deputy Director Darwin Watson says one problem the city is having is the number of large items people are leaving for pick-up each week.
Watson also wants to remind people that brush and tree limbs must be tied together and cannot be over 60 pounds. He says if you don't throw away the shrubbery properly, you'll first receive a notice from the Inspection Department. But if you still leave it there, Watson says you'll see a charge on your taxes.
