The "Make a Memory" bluffside redevelopment project will move forward, now that city leaders in Saint Joseph have approved a bid for construction. City Manager Frank Walsh says that increased construction costs had the bids coming in much higher than expected, and so a few adjustments had to be made...but contributions from private donors made it possible to proceed:
The project involves the construction of walkways, a fountain, and a carousel down below the bluff. The local firm Pearson Construction was chosen to do the work at a cost of seven-point-one million dollars.
