Local officials, Whirlpool employees and community members gathered in Saint Joseph Wednesday night to watch the first step in a new local development. The Silver Beach Amusement Park broke ground yesterday (WED). The Park will incorporate pieces of Saint Joseph's history including the new Silver Beach Carousel and the new Shadowland Ballroom. Saint Joseph City Manager Frank Walsh says it is an exciting time for the community.
The Fire Department also sprayed water 35 feet in the air to demonstrate the project's Compass Rose Fountain.
Walsh says they will commence on the project in two weeks and you can start making plans to jump into that fountain by next July.
