The city of Saint Joseph continues to find new support in its efforts to take ownership of its historic lighthouse. City Manager
Frank Walsh says that another donation has come in to help the city pay for maintainance of the facility:
That donation from the Community Foundation comes on top of over 30-thousand dollars that have already been given to the city for lighthouse maintainance by local residents. The city also has the backing of Congressman Fred Upton, who last week sent a letter to the Federal General Services Administration, urging it to give Saint Joe top consideration as it decides who should get control of the lighthouse.
