Whirpool has suspended nearly 40 workers at a plant in Indiana after it was discovered that they'd lied about smoking. The company says the employees had claimed to be non-smokers when they signed up for the health insurance plan. However, others later reported having seen the workers smoking in the designated areas at their Evansville plant...and now all 39 of them are on suspension while the company decides what final disciplinary action to take. Whirlpool's health plan requires smokers to pay an extra 500 dollars in premiums.
