An eleven-year old boy was treated and released this week for serious, but non life threatening injuries after he told deputies he was physically abused. Van Buren County Sheriff Dale Gribler reports the boy was found walking the streets early Tuesday. He told deputies he ran away from home after being abused. Deputies found probable cause that abuse did occur. A 28-year old man and his 46-year old mother were arrested at the boy's home in Geneva Township. Children's Protective Services investigated and removed not only the boy, but another sibling, a two-year old boy. That child did not show signs of abuse.
