Representative Nesbitt Confident GOP Majority Will Hold

Republicans in Michigan remain confident that they will keep control of both chambers of the Legislature and the governor's office. State Representative Aric Nesbitt of Lawton spoke Monday on Michigan's Big Show, heard on WSJM, and laid out the plans for the GOP to continue running against the record of former Governor Jennifer Granholm.

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mark Schauer was the Democratic leader in the Michigan Senate for part of Granholm's second term prior to his election to Congress. Nesbitt says Republicans have a solid foundation of accomplishments to tout on the campaign trail over the past three and a half years of Governor Snyder's leadership.

Nesbitt is among several lawmakers whose names are being bantered about to become House Speaker along with Representative Al Pscholka of Stevensville.
