A press conference will be held this afternoon by Benton Harbor City Commissioner Marcus Muhammad to address recent decisions concerning the mayoral recall election. Initially scheduled for May 4, the election did not happen because Berrien County Clerk Sharon Tyler called for an examination of petition signatures. Recently Judge John Dewane ruled the election to proceed. Last week the Berrien County Board of Commissioners approved funds to back Clerk Tyler's appeal that decision. Muhammad will be joined by other city officials and David Alexander Bullock of Change Agent Consortium to discuss the matter. The press conference begins at 4 p.m. outside the county courthouse in St. Joseph.
