The special meeting to discuss the residency of Benton Harbor City Commissioner Trenton Bowens has been canceled. Bowens had recently moved from Pipestone Street to Pavone Street in May. He said both apartments are in the Second Ward of the city. He's puzzled why his residency is coming up now. Two months ago, due to health issues, Bowens announced his resignation effective August 31. He said he moved from his apartment on Pipestone because the water kept getting cut off. That house has since been condemned. WSJM News has a call out to the city for clarification. City Manager Darwin Watson recently told the "Herald-Palladium" that once Bowens gave the city his new address, the matter would be resolved. The special meeting was scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
