No Impact On The Inn At Harbor Shores From Lamar Closure

The construction industry in West Michigan took a hit this week with the sudden closure of Lamar Construction of Hudsonville. The company was the lead contractor that built The Inn at Harbor Shores, but managing director Ron Schults tells us the loss of Lamar does not impact the future development of the area around the new hotel.

Schults notes the hotel has been open for nearly two months and there are no issues with the building.

As the managing director of The Inn at Harbor Shores, the CEO of Edgewater Resources, and founder Abonmarche Consultants, Schults has quite a bit of gravitas to speak on how Lamar's closure will impact the construction industry throughout West Michigan. His gut feeling is it won't be a huge deal.

180 people lost their jobs when Lamar Construction went belly-up. The company's steel operations will continue.
