16 hour days have been logged by crews working for Indiana Michigan Power for the last several days to get power restored throughout the area. Just 3,800 remain in the dark in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph as of late Friday, and those homes and businesses can expect to have their electric service restored by midnight. According to Indiana Michigan Power, they've turned the lights back on for 90% of their customers in Michigan and 98% of their customers in Indiana affected by Monday night's severe storms. Overall, they say 94% of the power has been restored. In total, crews have been working to replace 195 poles and 81 transformers in Michigan and Indiana.
