Indiana Michigan Power Making Progress On Restoring Power

It's getting better. That's the word from Indiana Michigan Power regarding the massive power outages throughout southwest Michigan and northern Indiana from Monday night's storms. Spokeswoman Erica Putt tells us they're adding more people to the effort.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, 12,600 in the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area still had no power along with 2,300 in Buchanan and 700 in New Buffalo. Putt tells us a lot of progress was made throughout their service area on Wednesday.

She says they're working as fast as they safely can, and asks people to have patience.

Full restoration in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor isn't expected until midnight Saturday, but Putt says there will be some people that get their power back before that estimate.
