Barra: I Never Want Anyone Associated With GM To Forget What Happened



General Motors CEO Mary Barra is handling more tough questions about the troubled automaker's faulty ignition switches. They've been linked to 13 deaths in North America and have prompted recalls of millions of GM vehicles. In a House hearing, Barra said she was saddened and concerned about the results of an internal GM report that she ordered.

The report prompted the firings of more than a dozen GM employees.

Congressman Fred Upton says this week's recall of another 3.4 million cars shows the problem didn't end with the first recall. Colorado Democrat Diana DeGette ripped GM for knowing about the problems for more than a decade before taking action. Barra took over the top spot at GM in January.
