Ground Broken For New Gobles Hometown Pharmacy

Work is now underway to build a new Gobles Hometown Pharmacy. Ground was broken Friday morning in Gobles after a massive fire more than two years ago destroyed three downtown businesses. New development had been delayed by legal maneuvers, as the city had planned to sue property owner Jan Wescott for alleged violations of the anti-blight ordinance. A last-minute deal prevented the lawsuit from going forward. The pharmacy is moving from a smaller location down the street. The April 2012 fire destroyed Jan's Trailside Cafe, Jan's Oasis and C.C.C. Bait and Tackle. It's expected the new Gobles Hometown Pharmacy will be open this fall.
