Major Library Renovations Planned For Lakeshore Schools



A $600,000 library transformation project is planned at Lakeshore Public Schools. Superintendent Phil Freeman says the Lakeshore Excellence Foundation will head the renovation in each of the district's library and media centers.

Freeman recently toured Whirlpool Corporation's world headquarters. He says they and other large companies have opened up their workspaces and made them more relaxed for employees.

The three year project will be completely funded through private donations. It will begin in the High School later this year, progress into the Middle School next year, and then into the elementary schools in 2016.
