Genesis of BH Continues Relationship With Senior PGA Championship

The Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid has the help of a lot of locals at Harbor Shores Golf Club. Genesis Outreach Development Center, just like in 2012, is getting 10% of sales from all concessions it works at the championship. Funds earned in 2012 purchased a bus for the Benton Harbor non-profit.

Genesis is a church-based group in Benton Harbor which provides services to more than 8,000 at-risk and underprivileged youth in the community. Genesis leader Carolyn Fort says her group did such a great job in 2012 it was invited to the Ryder Cup later that year. Since providing the help, Fort says a special relationship has blossomed.

Fort says Genesis is the first non-profit to establish an ongoing relationship with Levy Restaurants, who manages the championship's concessions.
