Watson missed the 2012 event due to an injury and spoke at The Inn at Harbor Shores last night for the PGA's Fireside chat. He remembered asking Jack Nicklaus if the development would work to revitalize acres of blighted factories, and Nicklaus saying he was confident it couuld help bring Benton Harbor back. Watson said that vision remains paramount.

Watson spent a lot of his Fireside chat discussing the upcoming Ryder Cup, of which he will be the team captain for the United States team.

The 75th Senior PGA Championship gets underway with the pro-am and practice rounds today, more practice tomorrow, and then tournament play Thursday through Sunday in Benton Harbor.
