Miss America is coming home to St. Joseph this week. Nina Davuluri is a 2007 graduate of St. Joseph High School and moved to Michigan's Great Southwest at the age of 10 from her native Syracuse, New York. Davuluri will speak at St. Joseph High School, Upton Middle School and Benton Harbor High School tomorrow. She will be talking about her Miss America platform of "Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competency." Davuluri is a University of Michigan alum, graduating with a degree in brain cognitive studies. She plans to earn her Masters in Business Administration after her year as Miss America is complete. Her appearances at the schools are open only to students.
