Benton Harbor Girls Launch Clothing Line

A new clothing company has launched out of Benton Harbor, but Girl Party is a little different. It's run by 11-year-old Serenity and 14-year-old Cori Burton. Our newsgathering partners at NewsCenter 16 WNDU caught up with the family to talk about what inspired the girls to launch their own clothing line. For Serenity Burton, it was about trying to make a difference.

Cori Burton talked about showing other girls that the sky is the limit, and wanting to serve as an inspiration to others.

Their website launched Wednesday morning at, with t-shirts, tote bags, lip gloss, bracelets and sunglasses available from $2 to $14. Their parents helped with the company's creation, and Charity Burton says the girls came to them wanting to "do something big with their lives."

The Burton sisters have pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter along with their website.
