Comcast cable and Internet customers in Berrien and Cass counties will not be changing over to a new company when Comcast buys Time Warner Cable. We are the only two counties in the state where Comcast operates that won't switch because Berrien and Cass are considered part of the company's Chicago region. Spokesman Jack Segal tells WSJM News that South Bend will also remain with Comcast. A new company is being created by Charter Communications and Comcast to spin off customers in several states in an effort to win regulatory approval of the buyout of Time Warner. Segal says an exact date for that isn't yet known, as it could take several months for the deal to be finalized.
