A red carpet fundraiser is coming up next week for the Harbor Lights TV show. Benton Harbor native Dawn Yarbrough is working on her next season of the local PBS show highlighting inspiring stories of people, places, activities and economic development throughout Michigan's Great Southwest. The annual red carpet event will be Tuesday, May 6 at Celebration Cinema Benton Harbor starting at 5:30 p.m. Video clips of some of the highlights of the previous three seasons will be shown on the big screen along with music from the All God's Children Choir. The first three seasons have been paid for entirely through individual and corporate donations, and proceeds this year will go toward the hiring of local film professionals. Harbor Lights will also work with high school and college students as interns to teach them the art of film production. Tickets are available at St. Joseph Today and Three Pillars Music Store at 198 Water Street in Benton Harbor as well as online through Celebration Cinema's website. Advance price is $25, which goes up to $30 at the door, and Yarbrough is requesting formal attire for attendees.
