LMC And MSU Team Up For Virtual Learning

Lake Michigan College is celebrating the first crop of graduates from a new agricultural program. In partnership with the Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology, LMC allows students to take basic courses on its campus while taking MSU courses via interactive television and internet streaming.

Regional Program Coordinator Stacey Rocklin says the program is also offered in Traverse City. With the help of the technology students at LMC, MSU and Traverse City can all be in the same interactive classroom at the same time. Studies include viticulture, commercial horticulture and landscape agriculture. Four students at LMC graduated from the program this year.
