Congressman Upton Among Many Upset With Latest Keystone XL Delay



It's looking like the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline to bring crude oil to the United States from Canada for refining is a long way off. The White House announced on Friday it would again delay any decision, angering members of both parties. Congressman Fred Upton has long been a supporter of bringing the Canadian crude south to refineries in the U.S., and adds jobs in Southwest Michigan are dependent on it.

Several U.S. Senate Democrats, including Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Mark Pryor of Arkansas, ripped the delay by the Obama administration after it was announced on Friday.
