Saturday Afternoon Crash Sends Three To Kalamazoo, South Bend Hospitals



The Berrien County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate a crash in Bainbridge Township Saturday afternoon that resulted in two people being airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo and a third flown to South Bend Memorial. According to deputies, a Stevensville woman had the right of way when she collided with a van driven by Rocio Sandoval of Hartford at the intersection of Park and Meadowbrook roads. Two of the eight people in Sandoval's van were ejected, though it's not clear if from deputies if those tossed were children or teenagers. Several people were initially taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph and Watervliet before the more seriously injured people were airlifted to South Bend and Kalamazoo.
