The body found in Lake Charles in Porter, Indiana over the weekend is that of a missing Kalamazoo doctor. 30-year-old Teleka Patrick was last seen in Kalamazoo the evening of December 5, and her car was found abandoned with a flat tire on I-94 in northern Indiana later that night, not far from Lake Charles. Indiana State Police and the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department confirmed a coroner identified the body through fingerprints and dental records. Patrick was driving to St. Louis to meet an old friend the night of her disappearance according to Kalamzoo County Sheriff Rick Fuller, disputing earlier reports that she was driving to Chicago. A private investigator hired by her family has said she was afraid someone was after her around the time of her disappearance.
