Lakeshore Schools Work To Improve Fund Equity

Lakeshore Superintendent Phil Freeman says his first full time Superintendent gig is living up to everything he thought it would. During a sit down with WSJM News he says a lot of positive things are happening in the district, even though work still needs to be done to the 'rainy day fund.' Which, lately, it’s been used to help make the budget work.

The district wants that fund to be above 10%.

As the district works to improve its rainy day fund, it's waiting on the state to roll out its new educational funding program.
