As expected, Dr. Michael Lindley will serve for the next year and a half as the interim superintendent of the Niles Community Schools. The school board announced today that they have appointed him to fill the role for the next 15 months following the resignation earlier this year of Dr. Richard Wiegel from the post. Berrien RESA Superintendent Kevin Ivers had been doing the job temporarily until the board settled on a long-term interim leader. Lindley spent 18 years heading up New Buffalo schools and is a trustee on the Lake Michigan College Board.
