At University Of Michigan, President Obama Promises Vote On Increasing Minimum Wage

A vote is coming soon on increasing the minimum wage across the country. So said President Obama Wednesday afternoon at a campaign-style speech at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, while it's $7.40 in Michigan. Democrats are pushing for raising it to $10.10 by 2016, but they'll need to pick up at least five Republican votes in the U.S. Senate to move it forward.
