LMC Sets Tuition And Fees A Tad Higher For 2014-15 Academic Year

Tuition and fees are going up at Lake Michigan College. The board approved the increases Tuesday for the 2014-15 academic year. Changes include a $2.50 per contact hour increase for in-district students to $89, and a $3.90 rise for out-of-district students to $138. President Bob Harrison says the increase is made for a reason.

He noted LMC's tuition rates are 75% lower than the average tuition rate among Michigan's public universities, and less than that charged by many other neighboring and statewide community colleges. The new rates go into effect with the Fall 2014 semester.
