Rocky Gap County Park Improvements Discussed

Proposed renovations to Rocky Gap County Park are hinging on a $300,000 grant. Berrien County Parks Director Brian Bailey laid out the plans Thursday to the County Commission as he seeks the matching funds from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. The deadline is April 1, with an announcement of the grants in December and legislative approval next spring.

Bailey says in addition to the grant, $150,000 would come out of the Parks Department budget in 2015 and 2016 for the renovations. He outlined all of the changes, including the parking lot at the lower park.
