CVS Developers Trying To Work With Neighbors On Issues

Indianapolis-based developers are working to change the hearts and minds of St. Joseph residents who are opposed to a CVS Pharmacy being built at Niles and Napier. Eric Harvey tells WSJM News they've struggled to get the word out that they're willing to listen and make changes, as just nine people showed up for a meeting Wednesday night.

CVS wants to build a new store, which would be its first in Berrien County, at that location by November 1st. Developers pulled their proposal from the St. Joseph Planning Commission this month just before a vote due to the opposition of neighbors and will be back before them again on April 10.

The location is currently occupied by Florin Funeral Home, which is planning to relocate once the property is sold.
