New General Motors Recalls Announced

The problems keep coming for General Motors. The automaker has issued three separate recalls after CEO Mary Barra ordered an internal safety review following the ignition switch recall.

The new recalls are for over 300,000 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles from the 2009-2014 model years; nearly 64,000 Cadillac XTS sedans from 2013 and 2014 and an additional 1.18 million SUVs. Those are the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia from 2008-2013 model years, Chevy Traverse from 2009-2013 and Saturn Outlook from 2008-2010. Barra vows that GM is working with and will continue to cooperate with investigations by Congress, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Justice Department of a recall of 1.6 million vehicles this year for ignition switch issues.

The automaker is linking 12 deaths to those issues, while the watchdog group The Center for Auto Safety is linking 303 deaths to the problems.
