Ideas For Recruitment

Benton Harbor schools were down nearly 100 students from enrollment estimates at the start of the year. Superintendent Dr. Leonard Seawood says about $20-million in student aid is lost each year from a lower than expected student count. Using a recruiting goal of 200, Trustee Willie Lark had a message for students attending Tuesday's board meeting.



It's estimated 2,700 students who should be in the Benton Harbor district choose to attend elsewhere.
